The Holiday Romance

The Holiday Romance by Lara Russell, was a sweet story of love and devotion. It is a beautiful story of stumbling upon your soulmate and the tribulations that come with a new relationship. It unpacks the trials that come along with being from two very different worlds and how you can make it work. It also deals with the agony of long-distance relationships and the fact that someone will always have to concede what they thought they wanted or needed in life to make it work. It asks the age old questions of love. Like, is my career really worth more than the person I love? Can I give up my career and the plans I had for my life to make room for what I thought I would never find...love? Is it worth it? All of these questions are answered and the answer is yes! Love can overcome any obstacle and we are all worthy of finding that one person to spend the rest of our lives with. Overall it is a sweet story of love and the joys that can bring. The storyline was quite predictable. However, it was still a nice story. If you enjoy romance, then this story is for you!
